The State of the Junior 2025

Through Our Lens. Real stories. Real data. Built for change.

The State of the Junior is an in-depth survey capturing what life in the creative industry really looks like, through the eyes of junior creatives across the UK. Whether you’re freelancing, in-house or at an agency, your perspective matters.

This anonymous survey takes just 10–15 minutes to complete and will help us build a clearer, fairer industry, one that sees, supports and values emerging talent for who they truly are.

Who can take part?

To ensure our data accurately represents junior talent, this survey is open to:

🔹 Junior-level creatives – Whether you’re just starting out or a few years in.

🔹 Freelancers or employed – If you’re working in the creative industry, either full-time or part-time, in-house or at an agency.

🔹 UK-based creatives – You must currently be working in the UK creative industry.

A few things to know before you begin:

Your answers are anonymous – we’re not collecting names or contact details. Say it like it is!

No right or wrong answers – This is about your experience, no judgment here.

Your data is safe – We use your responses only for research and advocacy. Nothing shady, no selling your data.

You can skip any free text question – If something doesn’t apply or you’d rather not answer, that’s totally fine.

Want to stay in the loop? – At the end of the survey, you’ll have the option to leave your email if you’d like to receive updates about the results. This is completely optional and won’t be linked to your responses.

By continuing, you confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria and are taking part voluntarily. For more details on how we use your data, check out our Privacy Policy.
